Pelvic floor care that does it differently because the norm isn’t working!

You were never broken, you were just bound by systems that didn’t know how to hold your body OR your story.

If you’ve been told your symptoms are normal, that nothing is wrong, or that you just need to try harder… you’re not alone!

Many women arrive here after doing the exercises, following the plan, & still living with pain, tension, or disconnection.

That doesn’t mean your body failed. It means something important wasn’t being listened to.

Many people who find their way to Unbound Pelvis share some version of this story:

Being taught, explicitly or implicitly, to override their body rather than listen to it.

Following the “normal” treatment path & still feeling broken, confused, or blamed.

Pelvic floor symptoms connected to birth, trauma, surgery, or major life transitions.

Feeling unseen or unsupported during pregnancy, postpartum, or midlife.

Sensing that something deeper is going on, without being given the language or space to explore it.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re not imagining it & you’re not alone.

Unbound Pelvis exists for the moment when you realize there has to be another way & you’re ready to be held differently in the process!

The Values That Drive This Work!

Humanity

Every body is a lived body. Care adapts to the person in front of me, not the other way around. Symptoms make sense when placed in the context of a real life, real history, & real demands.

Dignity

Symptoms are not moral failures. Bodies are never the problem, systems are. My work actively resists shame, blame, & normalization of suffering in the name of productivity or compliance.

Humility

The body is the expert. I listen first, assess carefully, and remain teachable throughout the process. Treatment is guided by what the body reveals, not by forcing it to fit a predetermined narrative.

Collaboration

Healing is co-created. Nothing is done to someone, everything is done with them. Goals, pacing, & decisions are shared, transparent, & responsive.

Safety

Nervous system safety is the prerequisite for change, learning, & repair. Care is paced, consent-based, & attentive to how the body responds moment by moment.

Hi! I am Dr. Amanda

Photo of the Unbound Pelvis owner, a pelvic floor physical therapist.

A dual board-certified Orthopedic and Women’s Health Physical Therapist with over 15 years of experience in orthopedics, perinatal, complex pelvic & musculoskeletal pain.

I work with people who’ve been dismissed, fragmented, or told their symptoms are “normal,” & who are ready for care that looks deeper.

My approach integrates orthopedic, perinatal, & pelvic expertise with nervous-system-informed, trauma-honoring care.

Dual Board-Certified with

Blended, Whole Body Approach

I bring advanced pelvic, orthopedic, perinatal PT together with an understanding of the nervous system, trauma, & sensory processing so your care reflects how your whole body actually works.

Root-Cause,

Not Performance-Based Healing

Instead of focusing on “doing exercises right” or pushing through symptoms, we listen to what your body is communicating. Care is about understanding patterns, supporting repair, & creating change that lasts.

Neurodivergent & Trauma

Honoring Clinical Environment

Care is slower, relational, & consent-based. Sessions are shaped around your lived experience - not productivity, pressure, or one-size-fits-all expectations.
